Jay, it's always a treat and honor to connect with Talking Story and Rosa's audience. I think companies can view professional development from a place of fear; that they will development their employees only to see them move on to another company. In simple economics, it's no longer a good investment. In order to help organizations embrace a culture of livelihood learning, it's important that we understand how to speak the language of business leaders. We'll need to search for was to use familiar terms like ROI and investment but frame the conversation around the people who comprise the soul of the organization. Lots more here to explore for sure. Thanks for your warm words and comments.

I am a regular reader of Talking Story as well as Alchemy so I was thrilled to hear that the two were coming together today. I really liked what you had to say about a companies role in personal professinal development. Each company has so much to gain by looking at each person as an individual and helping to develop them accordingly. Thanks for finally spelling out what we were all thinking
