		<description>Jamie, that&#039;s a great example...and sometimes not the easiest path to take. It&#039;s so darn easy to just phone it in when you feel your time has come to move on. But you hit it square when you write that the best time to look and take a new job is when you&#039;re at the top rather than at the bottom. It makes a huge psychological advantage when interviewing, too.

That is, the best time to find a new job is when you are completely on top of your game at your current job (not when things are bad, and your productivity has suffered as a result). So although we hated our jobs, we looked for opportunities to expand them, do new things, be even more responsible. It made us more &quot;hireable&quot; and opened the space for more opportunities.</description>
