Hi Chris,

I think your story and realization is a great - and relate-able - for a lot of parents, as well as business owners. I applaud your honestly and your commitment to your daughters. I would love to share you experience on our blog. Would you mind if I cleaned it up a bit? Or feel free to email me an edited/updated version. I would love to also include how the girls did with their business! Feel free to contact me mandy@lemonadeday.org.

And thank you so much for participating in Lemonade Day!
My recent post <a href="http://lemonadeday.org/2012/05/4504/" rel="nofollow">Lemonade Day in Action at University</a>

Thanks so much for that, Larry. Means a lot to me that it inspired you. We've both gone through so many changes, tried on several different types of jobs in the past 15-20 years. Glad to reinforce the notion that you're not alone. Keep the faith my friend.

This was a fantastic post, Chris, and really hit the mark. Sometimes I feel as if I'm in the groove I want to be in, sometimes not, and it's always good to know I'm not the only one. Thanks for the inspiration!!

You make a great point, Chris. Blogging is one of those things that quality doesn't always beat out quantity; there has to be a fine balance between the two.

Thanks again for a great read!

Great article, loved the title! And I so identify with getting things on paper, makes me feel more organised, even if I don't get it all done!

I just stumbled across this. Interesting to see this sort of thing. For me eMusic is that company that has long been around, ever since I bought my first Diamond Rio 500, IIRC, but never quite good enough.

I recently bought an annual subscription for $100. I finally got around to trying to download something this weekend. It was frustrating and baffling. The reason I canceled was that they are not selling MP3s.

I thought they had given in to the 99% years ago. Shame on me for assuming they wouldn't slither back into their hole of file-type-obscurity. The service is nearly useless without that. On top of it I wasn't able to download the album . The eMusic UI was well designed to re-sell me what I had just purchased. But this software engineer couldn't sort out how to download it.
